How social entrepreneurship represents agency in a highly networked global/ capital economy.

The role of “agency” in social entrepreneurship is to bring positive change and justice within the community. The term agency is described as “the action and effect of human actors” pg.171 Social entrepreneurs are able to make use of the resources and opportunities at hand and bring it to the global stage. Also, agency has a huge influence on shaping the process of globalization as they have the capability of showing what society can look like by using ethical and value-driven vision. They can create a movement by speaking for those who are powerless and voiceless on a global scale. While western thinking is not rooted in culture and society social entrepreneurs are the opposite.
